I know you are sick and tired of hearing that we are in "unprecedented times" right now!
Yes, we all know..... :)
The important thing to ask, however, is, what does this mean for me? For my family? For my mental well-being? For my overall health?
People around me are gaining weight like nobody's business.
Quarantine 15 is a real thing!
I see people being sad and depressed because they can't go out to eat and shop.
My business partner Dr. Steven Yen tells me he's seeing more and more patients with elbow and finger issues because they're spending too much time on the phone playing games.
A lot of people are not in a good place right now.
The long line up at LCBO and the Beer,Store kind of says it all.
But…
I also see Karen, who used this time to connect with her husband.
They started going on long walks and having deep, meaningful conversations during the walks that helped them understand each other better.
Or
Dr. Yen, who started the breath work journey with me a few months ago—
He said he feels like a much better father because he now has the energy to play with his three kids.
Instead of sleeping away a somewhat chilly but nice and sunny Sunday afternoon yesterday, he played basketball with his three kids, and the whole family went out for a nice walk in Unionville.
The kids had a blast, and so did he and his wife.
That's why we now include the breath work as part of the Face Fitness Facial Rejuvenation Program :)
Or
Mary, who was always too busy working and never had time for herself—
Before Mary joined our Face Fitness Bootcamp, she told me all she wanted was to feel more refreshed and have more energy.
Last week, she called and thanked me because she hasn't felt this good about herself in years.
She's no longer self-conscious about how she looks on Zoom.
In her own words—
Her skin looks better, her cheeks fuller, and best of all, she feels refreshed and energized.
For many people, 2020 has been a challenge or even a crisis.
For them, 2020 can't be over soon enough.
I understand that.
My heart goes out to them.
And I sincerely hope 2021 will be a much, much better year for everyone.
But for some of us, we choose to view 2020 as a blessing.
It gives us the gift of time, so we can do the things we always wanted to do but couldn't,because we were too busy.
It offers us more opportunities to spend time with our loved ones and connect with them.
It forced us to slow down and appreciate what we have in our life. For many of us, pandemic or not, we have plenty.
It also reminds us of the importance of staying healthy, physically, mentally, and, dare I say, spiritually.
Tomorrow will be December 1st.
It's the beginning of the end for the year 2020.
If you can't wait for this year to be over, hang in there. There's light at the end of the tunnel.
But if you still want to turn 2020 into a blessing, it's not too late.
One of the biggest blessings for me in 2020 is I "re-discovered" the wonderful benefit of breathing properly.
In the last few months, Dr. Yen and I spent a lot of time learning, tweaking, and improving our breath.
We've never had the time to do that in the past, and we're really grateful for this gift of time from COVID.
I realized that, in the past, when I tried to take a deep breath during exercise or stress, I was instead taking a big breath.
They may sound the same to you, but there's a world of difference between the two.
When you take a big breath, most of the air stays in the top part of your lungs, and the oxygen you need cannot get to your blood and tissues, so you're not able to use it.
When you learn how to take a deep breath properly, you're able to get the air down to the lower part of your lungs, and according to Patrick Mckeown, author of Oxygen Advantage, you'll get at least 50% more oxygen into your blood and your tissues.
Imagine how much better you'll feel if you can get 50% more oxygen into your system with every breath you take!
For me, it's making a world of difference.
I'm sleeping better.
I'm sleeping more calmly.
I'm definitely healthier.
My face looks refreshed and energized.
And my skin is getting smoother and brighter.
I'm seeing the same things happening to Dr. Yen, my husband David, and many of my clients as well.
It's hard for me to describe to you how excited I am about this because of all the life-changing experiences clients are sharing with me!
And I'd like to invite you to turn 2020 into a blessing with me.
Dr. Yen and I are helping a few women with the breath work we've developed.
Helping them take better and deeper breaths, so they feel better, calmer, and healthier.
We don't want you to finish the year with the COVID Blues.
So if you'd like to join us and take some deep breaths with us, just let me know.
I promise, and I don't say this often.
In fact, I don't think I've ever said this to you.
But here it goes—
If you're interested, let me know. Come join us and take some deep breaths together.
I promise this will change your life.
Here's to Your Ageless Beauty,
